Enjoy a day visiting the wonderful city of Verona and the Lake Garda, travelling through the enchanting hill country with a rich vegetation, where the cultivation of vineyards and olive groves produce excellent wines and olive oil.

Verona is a work of art in itself: a blend of historical periods, cultures and influences. The city is at the same time both ancient and modern. You will have free time to walk through the narrow streets of the historical centre where you can visit some important monuments, like the big Roman Arena, built in the 1st century A.D., the House of Juliet, Piazza delle Erbe and Castelvecchio.

Driving through the scenic Valpolicella, a region famous for its excellent Amarone wine, we reach the Lake Garda, a deep glacial lake surrounded by majestic mountains; an oasis of calm and serenity.

We will stop at Sirmione, the pearl of Lake Garda, where the Romans built two castles, two harbours, a settlement and a gigantic villa and the Scaligers later built their famous fortress: a charming, graceful yet strong and imposing bultwark.

In Sirmione you can sit in one of the several restaurants in the square facing the harbour and have a delicious lunch or just a local exquisite ice-cream, relaxing and enjoying the view. You can also join a boat tour of the famous Peninsula of Sirmione from the old port of the castle.
Then just sit back and relax as we return to Venice
